Glitter eyeshadow

Hey girls. So I ordered some loose glitter on eBay & thought I'd do a quick tutorial for you girls. I have tried to narrow it down to 5 simple steps which hopefully will be easy to follow. This is the first time I've actually used glitter & I love the way it has come out.

This look is perfect for Christmas, New Years, Eid, Diwali or even bridal. It can be paired with a bright lip, e.g. Mac's Ruby Woo for a glamorous & classy look or a nice muted pink like Revlon's pink in the afternoon or even your favourite nude lipstick.

Now onto the tutorial...

Start with a primed lid for a smooth base. I used the Essence I heart stage eyeshadow primer. The first eyeshadow I used was the Revolution matte eyeshadow in the colour 'Delicious' which is the most beautiful grey toned taupe shade, perfect for a crease colour. I blended this above the crease & just under the crease, leaving the actual lid blank.

Then I applied eyelash glue all over the lid & pressed down a generous amount of glitter on top of the glue. Take your time when doing this to avoid a lot of fall out.

After that, I went in with 'blackout' from the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette & deepened the outer V to create depth to the eye & darken the look a little bit. I added the same black shadow to the lower lash line & blended it out.

I then applied Elf's cream eyeliner to the top of my eye & winged it out to create a more, feline effect. I applied mascara & Ardel Demi Wispies eyelashes to complete the look.

On my lips: Mac Viva Glam Nicki (discontinued, sorry!)

I hope this was useful for you girls. Let us know what you want us to post next.

Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade review

I have been using the Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade for about 3 weeks now & thought it was about time I got a full review up for you girls.

I have naturally dark brows which are quite sparse in some areas due to over plucking but let's be honest, we've all made that mistake, right? Since I have quite dark eyebrows, I like to fill them in using a lighter warm toned brown, therefore, I got the dipbrow in the colour Auburn. They also come in 7 other shades. I bought mine on Beauty Bay for £15 with free delivery.

At first, I was a little sceptical about spending £15 on a brow product. (Cheapskate alert). However, I can honestly say it is the best £15 I've ever spent.

The formula is extremely creamy & blends like a dream. It is so easy to work with & you can build the colour up once it's dried. It is also waterproof which is a bonus & so it lasts hours and hours.

After using the Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade, I can not use any other product on my eyebrows & so I highly recommend it to you girls.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette dupe!

Hey everyone!
This post is going to be about the I Heart Makeup "Death by Chocolate" palette which is an amazing dupe for Too Faced's "Chocolate Bar" palette! It's just a quarter of the price!

This palette has 16 beautiful eyeshadows, some are matte and some are shimmery. This palette is very convienent as you have your basic neutral shades, transition and crease shades and also 2 highlight shades. It also has a few pops of colours such as a beautiful glittery gold and a shimmery plum shade. If you really want to make the shimmery shadows pop even more, try wetting your brush with something like Mac Fix+ or the cheaper alternative - eye drops. These shadows are suprisingly pigmented for the price, especially the matte black and the shimmer shades. Overall, it's a gorgeous palette and i highly recommend it.

I purchased my palette at Superdrug but you can also buy it online too. This palette retails for £7.99 which is great for  students or those who are on a budget!

Top 10 lipsticks

Here is a list of my top 10 lipsticks which are a mixture of high end & drugstore lipsticks.

No.1 is Mac's Velvet Teddy which is a matte finish. It is a mauvey nude, perfect for that Kylie Jenner lip. It isn't too drying but since it is very matte, it would be a good idea to exfoliate & moisturise your lips before applying.

No. 2 is YSL Rouge Volupte in peach passion (13) which is a peachy pink shade. It is matte but it is extremely creamy.

No. 3 is Revlon Smoked Peach which is a matte lipstick. It is the perfect dupe for Mac's peach stock. This lipstick is quite drying so be sure to exfoliate & moisturise before application.

No. 4 is Revlon pink in the afternoon which again is matte & is perfect for an everyday pink lipstick.

No. 5 is Mac Modesty which is the perfect everyday nude. It is a creamsheen and so it isn't drying at all & is very creamy.

No. 6 is Sleek matte lipstick in Exxxaggerate which is a vibrant purple for the girls that like to go bold. This lipstick is quite drying, however its so worth the colour pay off!

No. 7 is Essence dare to be nude which again is the perfect everyday nude. It has brown undertones so is perfect for darker skin tones. It's not drying at all & is very creamy. The finish is between a satin & matte finish.

No. 8 is Sleek's Matte me lipstick in birthday suit which is a pinky nude. It lasts all day & isn't drying at all.

No. 9 is Avon's big colour lip liner in portwine which is a dark, plummy, red colour perfect for a night out or a daytime fall look. It's so creamy but does stain the lips a little.

No. 10 is the Rimmel Kate lipstick in 107. This is the most beautiful burgundy colour. Perfect for fall or a classic Hollywood look. It is a matte finish & isn't too drying.

Since most of my favourite lipsticks are matte, I would definitely recommend exfoliating & moisturising before applying. A good lip scrub is Mint julips by Lush cosmetics.

I hope this was useful to you girls. Swatches will be down below.

Savita's first post - Sleek matte me lip creams

My first blog post is going to be about the Sleek "matte me" ultra smooth matte lip creams. These lip creams are beautifully matte, therefore, they are perfect for girls who are on the go and want to keep their lipstick on for hours and not worry about it. They come in a variety of colours from sexy nudes to daring bright, vibrant colours.

The one I am wearing in the picture is called "Birthday Suit" which is such a day time appropriate colour as it is light and feminine. But also, it is a very versatile colour as it goes with any make up look. For example, it would go great with sultry, smokey eyes. Another one I wore a lot in summer was called "Party Pink" which is a vibrant pink colour that is great for those who are feeling adventurous or those who want to step out of their comfort zone. I would pair this lip colour with neutral eyes and bronzed skin as you don't want to take the attention away from the lips.

The Sleek "matte me" ultra smooth lip creams retail for £4.99, so it's great for those on a budget! I purchased them in Superdrug but you can also buy them online on their website or on the Superdrug website.

Smokey Eye in 5 simple steps

This is my go to smokey eye in just 5 simple steps using very little products. This look is perfect for a night out paired with any lip colour and is suitable for all skin tones.

Before we go on to the tutorial, be sure to use an eyeshadow primer on your eyelids to ensure your eyeshadow goes on smooth and seamless. This will also make your eyeshadow last as long as possible.

Now on to the tutorial...
Step 1: Apply a matte brown eyeshadow into your crease using a fluffy blending brush, taking it slightly towards the brows. I used Mac's soft brown.

Step 2: Put a black pencil eyeliner all over your lid. This doesn't have to be neat at all as we are going to blend it out later. I used 2true's black pencil liner.

Step 3: Using a matte black eyeshadow, blend the eyeliner out, dragging the colour slightly into the crease. Build the colour to intensify the colour until you have your desired look.

Step 4: Apply a shimmery eyeshadow into the inner corner of your eye to open up your eyes & lighten the look a little as we are working with such dark colours. I used the Kiko water eyeshadow in the colour 208.

Step 5: Tight line & line your water line with the same pencil eyeliner you used earlier. You can add some gel/liquid eyeliner and wing it out for some extra drama but this step is optional.  Finish off with your favourite lashes & mascara. I used Ardell's demi wispies & the L'Oréal Telescopic mascara.

I hope this easy smokey eye was useful to you girls.

Neutral Eye

This is a neutral eye look which can be worn with a nude lip for the daytime or a bold lip for the night time.

I started off with the essence I heart stage eyeshadow primer to cancel out any discolouration on my eyelids & to produce a nice, smooth base for my eyeshadow to adhere to. This will also help your eyeshadow last a lot longer.

Now on to the eye shadow. Start by putting a light brown matte eyeshadow into the crease, blending it out using windshield wiper motions.

Then apply a skin colour eyeshadow to the entire eyelid. Using the same brown eyeshadow colour we put into the crease, blend out any harsh lines.

Then using a dark brown or black eyeshadow depending on your preference, shade in the outer corners, blending it slightly into your crease colour. You can use tape on the edges to achieve a nice, crisp line.

After that, go back in with the light brown shade & blend everything out. Take your time & soften any harsh lines. You can either add mascara and lashes to finish the look or go in with your favourite gel/liquid liner & create a small wing. Finish off with your favourite eyelashes & a lip colour of your choice. This eye look is so versatile, you can pretty much use any lipstick colour. Don't be afraid to go bold!
