Heyy girls. I'm sure everyone went a little crazy during the black Friday sales. I for one definitely did! I managed to get my hands on this 'Best of Benefit' set which basically comes with 7 bestselling items from Benefit.
The gift set usually retails at £54 but during the sales it was only £24.50 which I thought was an absolute steal. It comes with mini sizes of the porefessional primer, benetint, high beam, boi-ing concealer, hoola bronzer, they're real mascara & push up eyeliner.
I must say that I'm quite disappointed with this. Although, the packaging is so pretty, the actual products really disappointed me. However, it's not all bad.
The porefessional is good. It really does shrink down my pores, however I think my Maybelline baby skin primer does the exact same thing buy for more than half the price. I also like the benetint but found that it works better with a powder blush layered on top.
Moving onto the high beam highlighter & the hoola bronzer. I know loads of girls absolutely love these 2, however they just didn't agree with me. The bronzer didn't even show up on my skin. I found myself using quite a lot to make it show up & the highlighter isn't as pigmented as I expected. It kind of just disappears into your skin.
Now moving onto the 'they're real' mascara & push up liner. The mascara is honestly the best mascara I've ever used. The brush is so easy to use & avoids clumps. I find that just one coat is enough for me as far as length & volume go. The eyeliner on the other hand is the worst eyeliner I've ever used. I hardly ever struggle with eyeliner but I honestly found it so difficult to use & found that it tugged on my lash line quite a lot. I probably won't be using it again.
The boi-ing concealer is alright for now but I am still a little unsure about it & think I need to use it a little longer so I will keep you girls updated.
Overall, I think I will only use the porefessional primer, the benetint & the they're real mascara again.
